on Summary:\n\nSemanticBits is looking to hire a talented senior software developer who can lead the development of modern digital health services implemented as highly scalable Java services deployed on the AWS cloud in Docker containers.  The project will be implemented using an Agile, Scrum-based process that includes Sprint Planning/Review/Retrospectives and daily stand-ups. The team uses human-centered design to implement highly modern, usable interfaces. This position is open to a mid-level to principal professional depending on experience.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* 5 years of experience in Core Java and JEE\n\n* 3-5 years of experience with Spring Framework required\n\n* Experience with Spring Boot required\n\n* Experience with object-relational mapping frameworks, such as Hibernate and JPA, required\n\n* Continuous build and test automation through Jenkins required\n\n* Deployment and testing via containerization with Docker highly preferred\n\n* Relational databases - should be very comfortable writing SQL, defining relational schemas, writing data migrations, and querying through ORM\n\n* Modern frontend web development through React highly preferred\n\n* RESTful microservice development in Java required\n\n* Automated unit/integration/functional testing experience on both front- and back-end is a must: JUnit, Selenium/WebDriver, Protractor, Jasmine or similar\n\n* Experience deploying and testing applications on AWS preferred\n\n* Experience with git (workflows, merge strategies, etc) is strongly desired\n\n* Knowledge of modern design pattern and building enterprise-grade production applications\n\n* Excellent command of written and spoken English\n\n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n\n* Candidate must reside in the United States\n\n* Bachelor's degree in technological or related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years experience\n\n* Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary\n\n\n\n\nNice to Have: \n\n\n* Experience working in the healthcare industry\n\n* Federal Government contracting work experience\n\n\n\n\nPhysical and emotional requirements for the job:\n\nThis position is to be performed remotely from an individual’s home office and involves sedentary work.
