We care a lot about our culture, having fun while working hard, and our annual retreats.\n\nWe are looking for a talented iOS & Android engineer who cares deeply about mobile UI/UX to join our passionate development team.\n\nThe correct person will take pride in their work, have extreme attention to detail, and be able to get their hands dirty implementing iOS & Android front-ends. Working closely with and implementing the designs from our product team will be the majority of the job role.\n\nWe are looking for a well-rounded engineer who has spent the last 5+ years focusing on iOS and Android UI development and has enough backend skills to make some modifications to our business logic, which is built in C++.\n\nThis position will report to our client-side team lead and work closely with our product team. You’ll be able to work 100% remotely, and we are looking for someone that can grow with our products for years to come.\n\nThis is a long-term (years, our hope is forever) full-time (40 hrs/wk) 1099 (hourly) contract role. You will review and contribute to the overall test strategy and quality of the new product and services. In conjunction with development, you will be designing and implementing tooling that will allow for efficient and comprehensive testing, as well as testing pre-release versions of mobile OS to avoid introducing regressions.\nResponsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks\n* Work closely with developers as peers to understand underlying architecture and code changes to come up with test strategy across different layers of the mobile SDKs\n* Understand test automation needs, task out work, and provide feedback on design solutions\n* Automate newly integrated features, and develop toolsets to augment QA and Development testing\n* Extend existing automation framework to work with new services and write end-to-end automation for existing and new user scenarios\n* Perform continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression suites\n* Create detailed strategic test plans, actionable bug reports and follow-up on review proposed problem resolutions\n* Coordinate, plan, test, and conduct releases\n* Evaluate errors post-release to help inform the next iteration of changes to end user experiences\n\n\nMust have skills/experience\n* 5+ years of testing and automation experience\n* Expertise in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java or Kotlin \n* Experience with JUnit or similar framework\n* Experience working in an Agile environment\n* Experience using git    \n* Excellent written and oral communication skills\n* Experience in working with continuous integration platforms (i.e. Jenkins, CircleCi or others)\n\n\nAdvantageous skills\n* Intermediate understanding of Android development/testing\n* Experience writing tests using the Android Espresso Framework\n* Experience in testing SDKs which have been used in other applications\n* Testing using cloud-based infrastructure for testing solutions (i.e. Firebase)\n* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field\n\n\nWhat's the Deal?\nWe will provide you with a series of challenging issues together with the tools, equipment and support to give you the best possible chance of succeeding.
