Job Description

We have systems to signal busy-ness; regular meetings and stand-ups to disseminate information, frequent one-on-ones to ensure there are no frustrations building up, a code of conduct and a formal complaint process to resolve conflicts early-on.\n\nAs a key member of our QA team, you’ll specifically be expected to:\n\nDesign and build tests from requirements Attempt to reproduce issues that come in to support to then log them Work closely with the QA Manager to ensure that time is used efficiently  Attend and contribute in weekly / monthly meetings Suggest improvements if there are issues in the current  process Investigate issues when they are difficult to reproduce and have a hunger to get to the bottom of why something is happening Create robust end to end tests while working closely with the developer who was responsible for that work.\n\n\nRequirements:\n\nPerform manual testing on different areas of the Lasso application  Perform manual testing of the entire application during pre- and post-release testing Perform webhooks/integrations and API testing Create test plans and test cases for new features and requirements, and/or fixes to existing bugs Acknowledge and validate submitted tickets by both rnd team and client services Log any found defects and track bugs using Jira Communicate any issues to the rnd team that require immediate attention Work closely with other members of the QA team to prioritize work Actively participate in QA meetings  Assist in on boarding new resources when needed Stay on top of the industry standards of QA and promote efficient recommendations  Assist junior members of the QA team as a mentor Maintain documentation on manual test cases on TestRail on a regular basis Create test scripts for API regression tests using JavaScript Use MySQL to run queries to look at issues that require a deeper digging in the database, and/or to confirm some data-related issues. In this role you will work across our client engagements, providing expertise in data collection, data analysis, data mapping, data profiling, data mining and data modeling.  You will be responsible for inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modeling data and will address issues related to data completeness and quality, as well as contribute to and produce technical and data process documentation. 
What you will be doing:
* Prepare and conduct analyses and studies, needs assessment, and requirements analysis to align systems and solutions
* Apply analytical methodologies and principles to meet client needs.
* Prepare forecast and analyze trends, develops and analyzes metrics, and prepares reports and recommendations related to management.
* You will also be responsible for focusing on business performance, project analysis, internal control, risk assessment, and support of project objectives.


What we are looking for:
* B.S. and/or M.S. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics
* Minimum 3-5 year of recent professional experience in data science, data mining and/or data analysis
* Experience in data migration to include data mapping and data profiling
* Prior experience working with Healthcare data, or in the Healthcare field
* Ability to conduct data profiling and predictive analysis using a variety of standard tools
* Programming proficiency in a subset of Python
* Experience with data visualization tools and methodologies
* Ability to communicate concisely and effectively with software engineers and clients
* Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance


Preferred Skills
* Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-based systems
* Previous experience working with government clients such as Dept. of Defense (DoD) or Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA)
* Prior experience with metadata management to include meta tagging
* Previous experience working in an Agile Team setting and using Agile management tools such as Jira
* Experience with machine learning, natural language, and statistical analysis methods to include classification, collaborative filtering, association rules, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, time-series analysis, regression, statistical inference, and/or validation methods

This position will focus on testing, documenting and finding defects in our platform. You will write test plans, manually QA solutions, and find and document bugs.  You will work closely with these teams to make sure features ship as they are planned and scheduled.
How You Will Succeed: 
* Work in PHPUnit and Jasmine on a regular basis 
* Work closely with Engineering, UX, and Product teams to ensure we are releasing a quality product
* Find and document bugs
* Utilize past experience in both automation and manual QA processes
* Maintain a high level of understanding of QA software and tools
* Maintain a high level of understanding of writing test cases for features
* Use command line tools
* Work both remotely and with remote team members
* Use your superb customer service skills to update internal teams and clients
* Travel (<10%) for team meetups, conferences, etc.
* Leave that ego at the door!
