React Full-Stack Engineer

Job Description


We’re looking for an engineer to work alongside our CTO as we build our SaaS product. We’re an early stage company, so we’d like to start with a 1-3 month contract. As the company grows and we raise more money / generate revenue, there will be an opportunity to join the team full-time.


Tech Stack

What we’re building
We’re helping sales and customer success teams create shared spaces with their customers (think of a private personalized microsite for each of your customers).These spaces host all of the assets in the relationship from pitch decks to project timelines. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing React and Node.js applications
  • Advanced level of Javascript
  • A good sense of UX patterns
  • Experience building and shipping production ready code

Compensation
$70,000 - $120,000 per year (paid hourly at $40 - $60)


How we work
We’re an asynchronous and global team. We meet weekly to check-in, but mainly work independently throughout the week. Each team member is responsible for getting feedback on their projects from the broader group. We work through Zoom, Slack, and Github.


Interview Process

  • 30min call with CEO
  • 30min call with CTO
  • 2 hour paired programming session with CTO

Salary and compensation


$70,000 — $120,000/year

Springboard runs an online, self-paced Software Engineering Career Track in which participants learn with the help of a curated curriculum and 1-1 guidance from an expert mentor. Our mentor community - the biggest strength of our programs - comprises some of the best software engineering experts in the field.

The Program
  • Completely online and self-paced

You
  • are as passionate about teaching coding as about software engineering itself
  • are proficient in the topics covered in our Software Engineering Career Track and are fluent in technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Python, Flask, SQL, Data Structures and Algorithms
  • have at least 3+ years of relevant work experience 
  • are available for weekly, 30-minute video check-ins with students to help them set and achieve learning goals, answer subject matter questions, provide feedback on projects, and offer career advice
  • have experience critiquing work, in particular giving meaningful feedback on web development, and are able to think on your feet quickly
  • are empathetic and have excellent communication skills

The work
- Work with a great team of top-tier developers who are designing great user experiences and building truly great applications for web

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of work experience as a software engineer or relevant experience

Preferred qualifications

- Contributed to several apps in the App or Play Store 
- Knowledge of React Native and Swift and/or Java programming languages 
- Experience with every stage of the software development process: design, architecture, maintenance, deployment, code reviews, documentation, etc. 
- Up to date with the latest iOS and Android best practices 
- Very clear written and verbal communicator 
- Proven track record of shipping software and successfully released apps (please include names and links on your resume) 
- Strong attention to detail on every line of code, every unit test, and every commit message
