Overall, the content manager position is a creative growth function for the brand with the goal to increase lead nurturing at every single level of the marketing funnel using content. We want you to be comfortable collaborating within a team and also comfortable managing several different writers and projects at once.

Here’s a look at some of the tasks and processes you’ll be responsible for:

  • Outreach to off-site publications and websites with a goal of creating 1 in-depth industry-related blog post per month.
  • Managing content flow from outsourced content agencies with the goal of scaling to 10 pieces of content published per month from the agencies
  • Optimizing content with best on-page SEO industry practices
  • Monitoring mentions and backlinks across the web for potential content opportunities.
  • Creating and managing on-going Q&A databases (Quora, Reddit, Facebook groups etc.), including writing answers to be published under DM and CMO’s name.
  • Managing and improving the on-going editorial calendar.

As BrainTrust’s Director of Strategic Accounts you will be responsible for selling our platform to Mid-Market and Enterprise customers.

Given the early stage of the company, you’ll be heavily involved in developing, testing and iterating on our Go-to-market plan.

Our pipeline is largely created by our referral engine, product, and PR but this role will involve building and executing the system for converting interest into new customers. In addition, this role will involve building, testing and iterating on a targeted account strategy for VIP Customers.

You will work closely with Braintrust’s Founding Team to be a member of a small but highly functional team of serial entrepreneurs.

This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere.

Qualifications

  • Proven Sales Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a top performing individual contributor in a full cycle role selling services to mid-market and enterprise customers.  

  • Work ethic and determination: You’re the hardest working person you know

  • Competitive nature:  You’re deeply competitive and have a desire to win.

  • Highly organized: You’ll be working as part of a distributed team and will need to organize your days, priorities and commitments.

  • Sales Skills: You must have a strong understanding of how to navigate a large organization to assess which accounts/projects are in need of our specific resources, as well as a strong critical thinking ability to evaluate the merit of creative new tactics.

  • Technical expertise: Solid understanding of agile methodologies and software development life cycle as well as sufficient technical expertise to sell complex software projects without needing a sales engineer.

  • Independence: a Proven track record of working within a distributed team. You must have exceptional discipline, attention to detail, and motivation.

  • Empathetic: You must deeply care about helping organizations solve their innovation challenges.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand key accounts

  • Refine qualification and account prioritization criteria that will be used to qualify leads and accounts.

  • Be responsible for the full cycle (from lead generation through closing) of mid-market and enterprise customers.

  • Manage the relationships, work with our fulfillment team and build a strategy for how we expand the size of large customers spend on the platform.

  • Assist in identifying, recruiting and onboarding additional members of the sales organization.

  • Assist in developing lead generation sources and campaign development

As a Product Marketing Manager at TaxJar you will


* Define, prioritize and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy for TaxJar’s sales tax compliance products: TaxJar Reports, AutoFile, SmartCalcs API, TaxJar Plus, etc.)

* Develop product positioning, value proposition and messaging that differentiates our product to our key target audiences.

* Plan the go-to-market launch strategy for new products, new integrations and feature releases, and manage all cross-functional product marketing efforts.

* Collaborate with sales, development, partnerships, and success to ensure the feedback from our customers is documented and included in the product roadmap and development plan.

* Provide development teams with direction and content messaging within the TaxJar app.

* Develop written & video product assets and provide subject matter expertise for all marketing campaigns and efforts.

* Communicate the value proposition of the products to our sales team and work with the design team to develop the sales materials/tools that support the selling process of our products.

* Administer and report to the company on Net Promoter (NPS) metrics & goals.

* Find ways to creatively surface and automate the promotion of product-related revenue drivers (annual subscription plans, AutoFile enrollment, etc) using data to reach the right customers with a customized message.

* Must be willing to travel and attend in-person trade-shows with customers occasionally.




This is a key product marketing role and requires a self-starter with strong experience in organization, communication and execution of marketing needs. You don't wait for others to tell you what to do—you figure things out on your own. You ask questions. You get clarity. You do what's best for the customer. You listen well.



REQUIREMENTS


* Experience in building creative assets and marketing content
